Tuscan vineyards, grown by Endrizzi

 
Endrizzi’s Tuscan vineyards are located in Magliano, in the idyllic Maremma hills south of Grosseto: sunny hills that slope gently toward the sea.

Our Tuscan vineyards are grown with integrated farming methods (just like our vineyards in Trentino), with no synthetic chemicals and maximum eco-sustainability. The red grapes are primarily Sangiovese, the king of Tuscan wines.

Growing Tuscan vines


Serpaia vines are grown with the guyot system. The vineyard is exposed on all sides and the clayey ground retains moisture. The hot and dry climate, mitigated by the cool sea breeze, promotes the health and perfect ripening of the grapes, giving the wines body and depth. Vinification and élevage are performed by our enologists in collaboration with the renowned Tuscan enologist Lorenzo Landi: teamwork that unites two experts to achieve the finest results.

The locals called our Maremma estate “Serpaia” (snakes’ nest), a place fit only for the hard, dry nests of snakes.
In fact, our first encounter in Serpaia was with a black snake, and the land where we grow Tuscan vines has assumed this name in its honor.
Serpaia has proved to be the perfect place to grow Tuscan vines.
